Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa review

Published by kamirusma at 10:53 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Hubby and I took the kids to see Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa yesterday afternoon. They loved the first one and we got a kick out of it too.

Some kids’ movies are torture for the parents, but some are quite fun. This one fell into the latter category. It was fun and funny. There were enough jokes and gags to make the parents giggle and plenty to keep the kids entertained. There was one gag in the movie that referenced Creep Show, and I’m sure that was aimed at the thirtysomething parents who remember Creep Show. There were also a couple of scenes where the penguines popped in eight-track tapes and started cranking Boston and Barry Manilow tunes - another homage to an older generation.

All in all, a recommendation for a kids’ movie must come from the kids: All three of mine gave it two thumbs up!
