Special Days - December 7-12

Today (December 7) is Pearl Harbor Day - the 67th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. This event brought America into World War II.

December 8 is National Brownie Day. So whip up a yummy batch of brownies and celebrate!

December 10 is a busy day: Emily Dickinson was born on Dec. 10 in 1830. December 10 is Human Rights Day. In 1869 on Dec. 10,  Wyoming - a U.S. territory - allowed women to vote and hold office. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was awarded the Nobel Peace Price on Dec. 10, 1964.

December 12 is Poinsettia Day - very appropriate! So go out and get your a beautiful Poinsettia to decorate your home for Christmas and celebrate Poinsettia Day!
