These are a few of my favorite things. . .

Published by kamirusma at 8:26 am under Uncategorized Edit This

I heard the song “My Favorite Things” the other day and started thinking about my own favorite things.

Even though some of my favorites are goofy and maybe bizarre, they are things that bring me joy and make me happy.

Here’s my list:

Butterflies

Ugly shoes

Teapots

Antique dishes

Homemade things

Hair decorations

Apple scents

Flowers

Chickens

Goats

Hot chocolate

Hot tea

Big dogs

Funky jewelry

Plaid

Ladybugs

Dragonflies

Bees

Morning Glories

Rocking chairs

So what are some of your favorites? I’ve got more that I can add to mine, but this is a good representation of my faves.

What are yours?

What a neat way to count your blessings! Sometimes it is hard to see the ‘good’ in life, but we can always think of things we enjoy.

Personally some of my most favorite things are:

    family
    friends
    church
    God

and then a little less formally:

    hiking
    writing
    reading
    butterflies (aren’t they amazing creatures?)
big dogs (I believe I have one of the best!)
things that make me laugh (especially when they make me happy, too)
    flowers
    quiet
wildlife - most animals although I do not like reptiles and have never learned to appreciate most rodents :-)

With some thought I could probably go on all day. What a great way to start the New Year!

Great list! I didn’t count God, family and friends because those are a given in my book - nothing else in my life would matter without God being first, then my beloved family, followed by my wonderful friends (and I don’t have a lot of close friends - but the three or four that I have are gold in my book!).
