joy in the Mornings

The kids and I stopped by another antique store yesterday afternoon and we really enjoyed it!

My son found some Star Wars figures that sent him over the moon.  He then began bargaining and making promises to convince me to buy them for him. No dice, sorry.

Turns out my kids enjoy looking at antiques and the old things found in antique stores. I’ve always enjoyed antiques - but I like seeing my kids learning to appreciate them. It’s fun to hear the kids asking what something is or what it was once used for. We then discuss how things were in “the old days.”

I don’t really buy anything (except for my teapot the other day!), but I enjoy seeing the momentos of yesterday.
